When someone in a position of power challenges your belief in decency or equality, or when someone promises to make life difficult for you or the ones you love... It feels painful, it fills you with anger.
RageDonate harnesses the power of that anger to deliver real change. If words and actions make your blood boil, push a button to donate to a cause which directly benefits those under threat. It feels good, and it does good.
Get mad and help others get even.
RageDonate was built by #RageAgainstHate, a collective of concerned and angry creative and technical folk across the USA.
We built RageDonate for our friends and fellow concerned folk. The core idea was that we could channel our frustration, anger, and disappointment into one rapid, meaningful action.
This is a new initiative and we’re figuring it out as we go. There’s no formal committee and no well-defined criteria for selecting organisations to give to. Instead we activate a page based on a rage-worthy quote and interest or a recommendation from peers, family, friends, followers. Any given organisation we feature does not necessarily reflect the complexity of views or opinions of everyone involved in building this project.
To learn more about an individual organisation tap the Learn More link. If that charity or nonprofit isn't for you, scroll through and look for one that resonates, there are many good alternatives you can donate to.
We’d like to feature more organisations and we’re sure there will be no shortage of rage-worthy quotes to inspire us. We’re doing our best and we’ll try to be thoughtful, intentional, and sensitive.
Your donation is processed by Stripe and goes directly to the organisation’s account. In some cases there is a small transaction fee by the payment processor which is at a low rate specifically for nonprofit organisations.
Reach out to the team on Twitter: @ragedonate, our DMs are open. We really want to bring more organisations on board and we’ll respond as quickly as we can.
